MAS announces senior management appointments
Ho Hern Shin named deputy managing director for financial supervision

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has announced new senior management appointments, effective April 1, as part of an ongoing process to renew its leadership bench. Ho Hern Shin, currently assistant managing director (banking & insurance), will be deputy managing director (financial supervision). She will take over from Ong Chong Tee, who is leaving MAS.

Three executive directors will move up to take on assistant managing director positions. Marcus Lim, currently executive director (banking department I), will be assistant managing director (banking & insurance), taking over from Ho Hern Shin. Cindy Mok, currently executive director (monetary & domestic markets management) and executive director (organization development & communications), will be assistant managing director (finance, risk & currency), taking over from Bernard Wee. Wong Zeng Yi, currently executive director (banking department II), will be assistant managing director (organization & people development), taking over from Lim Tuang Lee.

Two senior management staff will be re-designated. Lim Tuang Lee, currently assistant managing director (organization & people development), will be assistant managing director (capital markets). He will be taking over from Lee Boon Ngiap, assistant managing director (capital markets), who is leaving MAS. Bernard Wee, currently assistant managing director (finance, risk & currency), will be assistant managing director (markets & investment). He will be taking over from Leong Sing Chiong, deputy managing director (markets & development), who has been covering this role since February 1 2021.
