London-headquartered, Asia-focused bank HSBC has appointed Jil Chin as its new head of international wealth hub for Singapore, reporting to Ashmita Acharya, head of international wealth and premier banking, HSBC Singapore.
Chin, who joined the bank on January 6, brings with her 22 years of experience in wealth management and retail banking, with demonstrated competencies in leading large frontline teams and initiatives covering sales, service, talent management and acquisitions. Her cross-business and cross-functional experience includes managing the wealth and cards sales platforms, as well as driving digital growth initiatives.
She also led both onshore and offshore collaborative transformation strategies aimed at providing optimal client advisory and creating a future-ready and sustainable wealth management business. Chin was most recently Citigold and Citigold private client banking director for wealth management at Citibank Singapore.
As head of international wealth hub for HSBC Singapore, Chin will oversee the scaling of the bank’s offshore business through new client growth, deepening client relationship and fostering stronger cross-border collaboration.
“Our ambition is to be Singapore’s leading international bank for both onshore and offshore clients across the wealth continuum,” Acharya says. “Singapore has one of the fastest retail offshore assets under management growth globally. I am delighted to have Chin on board to lead the business in capturing these growth opportunities.”
