Citi has appointed Benny Aroeman as head of markets for Indonesia. He reports to Sue Lee, head of markets for Asia South, and Batara Sianturi, country officer and banking head for Indonesia.
Aroeman brings over 30 years of experience in delivering derivatives, structured products, and risk management solutions to Indonesian clients. He was most recently at ANZ Indonesia, where he had been head of markets since 2019.
Before that, he led the sales team for treasury and markets at DBS Indonesia for 12 years. He also served at HSBC Indonesia and Deutsche Indonesia. He started his career in Garuda Indonesia in Brussels, Belgium.
Aroeman received his bachelor of science from the University of Maryland in Belgium and completed his master of business administration from Vrije Universiteit Brussels.
