The bank's forward-looking approach has allowed it to clinch key mandates from large regional clients, and in areas such as insurance and ETFs, it has gained strategic clients' attention. In digital asset custody, it continues to deepen its offering. HSBC picks up the Best Custodian and Best ETF Custodian awards.

Maintaining a leading market share in Asia, HSBC continues to provide excellent service to ETF clients, successfully securing the landmark deal of TraHK, Hong Kong's largest and longest-standing ETF.

Citi receives the Best Subcustodian, Global award.

Over the review period, the bank devoted considerable efforts to servicing global clients entering markets in Asia-Pacific, combining global reach with connectivity to support institutions across the end-to-end client journey. DBS wins the Best Digital Asset Custodian award.

DBS wins the award as Best Digital Asset Custodian, having taken a forward-thinking approach to bridging traditional and digital-native markets. Despite the market downturn in the digital asset space, the bank continued to grow its digital assets under custody by high double digits, demonstrating clear market leadership. By combining institutional trust and safety with an early lead in digital assets capabilities, DBS enables clients to adopt tokenization and on-chain solutions confidently, without compromising the stability of traditional finance.

BNY bags the Best DR Bank award.

BNY is recognized as Best DR Bank, underpinned by its unique position to treat depositary receipts as a strategic franchise. The bank remains deeply focused on supporting businesses across the Asia-Pacific region, holding leading market share in key markets including Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia, especially in terms of the number of sponsored DR programmes. One notable development was winning the landmark deal from Chagee, the biggest US IPO deal from China in 2025, raising over US$472 million.
